Every year, the most discussed award in basketball, is the Maurice Podoloff Trophy which is awarded to the league's Most Valuable Player. The most coveted individual award has gone to many Hall of Famers since it's inception in 1955, with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar getting it six times, and Michael Jordan and Bill Russell getting it five times. It is no secret that Miami Heat forward Lebron James is mentioned in the talk for the MVP every year. Upon receiving this award, Lebron James will join Abdul-Jabbar, Russell, Jordan, Moses Malone and Wilt Chamberlain as the only players in NBA history to win three regular season MVP awards. The difference between James and his counterparts is the number 0 as in 0 titles. Does that take away from his MVP awards or his ability to be the best player in the league? Not really. However, it does bring up the debate of whether James will go down as one of the greatest having not won a title. I say until the King wins a Ring he cannot be considered the greatest of all-time, but I'll take a three-time MVP on my team any day. Check it out...
